If the at-fault party decides to pay out-of-pocket, make sure you read about Third Party Pay: In Written Estimates, click "I Need a non-insurance estimate", then "Another party is paying out of pocket".

Other pertinent information:

  • Depending on your coverages, you may be eligible for rental car and no deductible.  However, your insurer will want verify the at-fault party does not have any insurance, as it's possible that the person isn't insured and the car is, or vice-versa.
  • Your rates shouldn't be affected for turning in a claim when you are not at fault and the other party is uninsured.
  • It is illegal to drive without liability insurance in California, so the other party could lose their license.
  • If you don't have collision or uninsured motorist coverage, then you may end up in small claims court.

  • Do you want us to pick up your car or deliver it? We can usually make that happen, just call us for logistics.

While your car is in for repairs, consider these optional services we offer to make it better than it was before the accident:

  • Paint nicks & minor scratch touchup.  No charge for labor, and touchup paint is usually less than $20.

  • Headlamp Restoration.  Are your headlamps fogged up?  We can buff them out and add UV protection.
  • We offer Complete Detailing in conjunction with other repairs.
  • Let us assist in arranging other ancillary services from our Neighborhood Auto Repair Shops:

    • Other mechanical work
    • Upholstery repair
    • Wheel Alignment
    • Tire Service or Replacement

In many cases, we'll shuttle your car to other nearby repair shops so you don't have to!
